Overview

Creatine Ethyl Ester (CEE) is a more effective variant of the popular dietary supplement Creatine Monohydrate. As the Creatine Monohydrate has been attached to an ester salt it is generally easier for the body to absorb it when combined to alternative sources.

CEE helps provide a quick boost of ATP to the working muscles which in turn facilitates improvements in lean mass, strength and power. Easy to use providing fantastic results, Creatine Ethyl Ester is recommended to anyone who wants to improve their physique and sporting performance with no side effects.

If you don't like the taste of Creatine Ethyl Ester powder, why not try our CEE Tablets?

Creatine Ethyl Ester is an advanced supplement that takes the basic Creatine Monohydrate and boosts its constitution with the addition of ester salts. These ester salts make it more easily absorbed and ease uptake by your cells. Some of the benefits of CEE over traditional forms of Creatine are related to the fact that smaller doses are required to get the same effect, whilst the bloating and preloading phase are eliminated.

water, protein shake, I put mine on top of my cereal in the morning b4 I go to the gym.
  • Comment:
Great product. GREAT price. Miles better than anything I have found on other sites. For people who are complaining about the taste..WISE UP. Its 3grams. Thats tiny. When its in my shake or a small glass of orange juice I cant tell its even there. Great results with this. If you buy CEE from anywhere else other than MP there is something wrong with you. Top class product MP well done.

I keep some water or juice in my mouth and try to drop my portion of creatine to the back of my tongue and swallow it in one go, hardly feel the taste and it never comes in contact with my teeth. Results with this product are amazing. Where monohydrate failed to deliver this worked amazingly! I am a hard gainer and this product gave me that much needed boost. From benchpressing 50kg (including bar) I got to 80kg (including bar) in a month!

  • Comment:
O.k., well for the taste related comments, I think why people think it doesn't taste particularity nice is because the suggested dose is really small, and because of this (myself included) assumed that only a small amount (about 75ml's) of juice should be required. When I added this amount it really did taste awful, however if you add quite a lot (200ml's ish) then you really can't taste it. With regards to the effectiveness, its brilliant, as a vegetarian I hadn't had Creatine for a while (as it is only naturally found in a normal diet from red meat), so I actually had a little bit of an energy high when I first took it (similar to about 4 or 5 strong coffee's!). I've noticed a huge difference in my appearance and in how much I can press. Its really fast working and compared to anywhere else on the internet, very good value! Oh and the service is excellent as well.

Don't complain guys, it's taste is tolerable. Not a vanilla shake but the result is more important. Look I take a mixture of bad tasting Myprotein stuff in 0,5 dl water 30 mins before my workout, stir them... big breath and quick swallow. This mixture include: 3g Creatin Etyl Ester, 1g Arginin etyl ester, 1g AAKG, 1g Acetyl L-Carnitin, 1g Tyrosin, 2g Taurin. What a shake, hahahaha!

Firstly, the taste isnt THAT bad. All these people saying that it's the worst thing that they have ever tasted ever, get a grip!! It doesnt taste very nice, but its nowhere near bad enough to stop you from drinking it! This is a very effective product. For whatever reason I never weighed how much i was putting in using a scoop from a different product, turns out i was putting half doses in and was still getting results! People were commenting on me looking bigger, after just one months usage! Deffinatley worth a go

I gulp it down neat with water no problem but my flatmate gagged when he tried it, everyone's different. If you're really worried about not being able to take the taste then get the smallest pouch size, other suggestions: with OJ or drink while holding your nose. Worked well for me otherwise, being able to drink without carbs has made it much easier to consume than normal creatine, I have seem definite weight and size gains (I have put on about a stone in 4 months) and whenever I have come off for a week break have noticed some water loss in my body. It has also helped me with strength gains, so I consider it the only real essential supplement along with protein powder.

If i wanted a tasty beverage i'd have a beer, if i wanted to gain some strength and increase my workout time id always go for this product. Its no secret this stuff tastes terrible but i think two seconds of hell for your tastebuds is a price i'm willing to pay for what this product does for me. I've used creapure in the past and found it a superior product to any other creatine i've used but this stuff is even better! i've noticed myself being able to push out those vital last few reps at the end of my workout with much more ease in a short space of time. I mix mine in a glass with a mouthful of water, neck it and then just drink some more water and it'll wash the taste out of your mouth! I honestly can't believe some of the fuss and measures some people on here will go to for a bit of a bad taste on their tongue. Imagine its a shot of tequila or something see it away like a man and get on with your workout you big bunch of wetties!! top product MP!!

  • Comment:
People complaining about the taste of this are missing the point of the supplement all together. CEE is designed to be easier to dissolve and easier to uptake by the muscles meaning that its effects should become apparent more rapidly. On this front, yes it does its job. You'll soon feel like you have slightly more in the tank to squeeze that extra rep or two out. But don't believe reviews claiming their lifts sky rocketed because of this. Most likely they just started lifting and were still experiencing easy gains. This won't magically make your bench float into the stratosphere but may help break a plateau if stuck. Tastes like sh*t, but you're not taking this for the taste.

At my friends faces when I tell them to try it haha. Ok first off...taste. Those who say its nice or even close to nice obviously had their tongues removed! Battery acid comes to mind! To be fairthough ya kinda get used to it to some degree and if ya get it down ya quickly its nasty but nothin to shout about.. if ya put it in orange juice (or any other juice I would imagine) it's just fine (still not exactly nice though). Ok the main reason I'm giving it 5 stars is because it work. It does MP say it does so fair play! All the performance of Monohydrate but no bloat and no loading phase! No problems with my stomach either. If you value your taste buds leave it alone!! if its performance you want then get it.

I was surprised to see the troubles people have with this supplement, I prefer it to mono because mono made me bloated and EEHCL does not. No big problems with the taste, to me it just tastes like medicine or something. And I notice no stomach problems what so ever. BUT I just put a dirty old penny in a strong EEHCL solution and a few minutes(!) later it is shiny! No kidding. So I'm gonna watch my teeth from now on...

it is true it tastes acid like 10 lemon juice concentrated in 5 ml but as long as you drink it fast no problem at all. No stomach problem no gut problem no urination problem no water retention. In the gym well it seems to work very well: I am on a ketogenic diet at the moment the hardcore style : whey + fish meat etc olive oil fish oil hemp oil and fiber supplement I train 4 times a week to the burn to deplete as much glycogen as I can, and despite this I keep pushing hard until friday. Definetely a good source of anaerobic energy furthermore it helps with recovery I am sometime sore but nothing comparable with the \"no Creatine ethyl ester\" training. In conclusion tastes acid but you feel the difference in the gym and see the result in the mirror.\r\n\r\nHugh

I bought a load of creatine hcl and a capping kit. Within about half an hour of taking them it feels like my stomach is eating itself , it is extremely uncomfortable and sometimes verging on painful.Ive tried spreading the capsules throughout the day and drinking tonnes of water with them but it makes no difference. If i take even only one capsule about 600mg it still feels like ive had a shot of battery acid.Learn from my mistake if your going to buy it then get a free sample or buy the smallest amount possible save wasting money like i did. Strangly enough i also bought arginine hcl and glutamine hcl and have no problems with them at all.

I think it does work to a limited extent, but then again normal mono didn't do anything for me except give me bad stomach pains. Definately mixes well (no gritty bits left in the bottom of the glass) and i'd rather get this than any other creatine. I just haven't been able to take it regularly for ages. haven't taken some for a while and strength is a bit lower than normal. will have a competition in 4 days so i'll be taking around 5g per day till then and i can see if it's the ethyl ester that makes the extra few % difference.

Sure the taste is quite obvious, but I must say I've paid good money for food that was harder to take than this supplement.\r\n\r\nI see a lot of people are suggesting taking this with an acidic drink, against the advice of a lot of studies which say that acidity reduces the useful of creatine supplements.\r\n\r\nThe less fluid the faster you can chug it and grab something better tasting to get the taste out your mouth. I had been mixing it with my pre-workout protein, but I think i'll stick to doing it seperately.

Having used creatine before with good results, I thought I would give CEE as the body absorbs it better than standard creatine... BUT this stuff is very hard to get out of the tub, let alone mix. Leaves huge clumps in the container which are very difficutl to break up into the amount you need, once you have managed to do that and transfer it into a shaker you have to go mad trying to get it to disolve. \nThe worst bit has to be the taste, but if it does the job that is something I can put up with (nothing thats good for you ever really tastes good!)\nIf MP could 'fix' it out so that you are not sent concrete in a tub, I would probably carry on using it, but until that time its back to regular micronized creatine for me.

Too many people on these reviews and for all the other products are too concerned about taste, texture etc. People want to know if these products work so they can decide whether or not to buy them so please can we stick to proper reviews. Fair enough taste has it's place in a review. So to get it out of the way... Tastes horrible, you do get used to it when mixed with other supplements. Mixability - Not great as it tends to come in big lumps. Effectiveness - Well I've tried only a couple of creatine products over the years so I don't have extensive experience, the other ones were monohydrate. the problem I found with these were the loading phase and the bloating they give you. Never really got the massive pump effect normally given with creatine. Until I tried this STUFF!! Massive pumps during workout which effectively is water, however, this is important as it proves the body is absorbing the creatine, which is one of the many concerns with the CEE. It's believed that CEE is poorly absorbed because of its instability with acid. I have had no problems with this. I try to drink my CEE with whey or hydrolysed whey post workout with some dextrose, mix it with water and BAM. Obviously drining it mixed with a potent acidic drink MAY reduce its potential. So to conclude. The price of this is fantastic as 500g's lasts for months, only needs to be supplemented x 1 a day ( I use pre and post ) No loading, I WOULD RECCOMMEND ANYONE TRY THIS. (If you are more concerned about taste, texture etc. then stop bodybuilding and buying supplements and puting other people off what is potentially an amazing product.)\n\nDerek

As everyone has mentioned the taste ain't great, a bit like battery acid. With an acidic juice it goes down easy though, just make the juice taste more acidic than usual - i prefer grapefuit. Capping is a good idea, but i'd pressume the power form would get absorbed more easily?! Definitely helps with strength and recovery time. Side affects: Need to urinate more often.

I've got to admit, the taste is bad... but everybody knows that... so, Just mix it with apple juice before you train and i drink Gatorade with unflavoured whey after my work-out with CEE... cant even taste it. Keep and eye out, as i will post again about performance. I keep everything i do logged down, so i know whether i am getting stronger etc... Speak soon... (p.s, yes it is lumpy but pinch the lumps with your fingers and dont be moany about it...)

My advise, when you get it try a little powder (just a little), it takes like utter crap. Then when you mix it with a flavour it'll be a relief! The flavourings the sell on here do a good job to hide the taste.\n\nExcellent stuff, good value for money.

Taste is a little extreme though quickly get used to it with the help of the Berry Blast (goodness only knows what it tastes like without it?)\r\n\r\nMoved to this from Creatine Mono and have noticed an instant increase in workout energy levels (I have a minimum carbs diet) which was most welcomed. This has also provided an approx 10% increase in weights lifted which again is most welcomed.\r\n\r\nA great product though would give serious consideration to the CEE tablets next order for sheer simplicity and avoidance of that rather interesting taste:)

I opted for the CEE as Mono always makes me nauseous approx 30 mins after taking, which coupled with the loading phase makes for an unpleasant time! Yes the taste is the worst I have experienced (a mixture of 30 paracetamol and hairspray), but this is a small part of the substance experience with improved gains and shortened recovery time. To circumvent the taste I put a small amount of water in a glass (approx an 1.5" in a pint glass) and neck it in one whilst holding my nose, then guzzle a glass of water immediately after. Give it a go if you can handle strong pungent tastes/suffer from Mono nausea/Mono doesn't work for you.

Used to be on mono, made me bloated and gave little in the way of performance. However, CEE gives me no bloating and really makes the difference in the gym, helping me do more work. OK it doesn't taste spectacular with water, but the serving is so small you can easily down it in one. Would rather suffer for a few seconds (just wash it down with cordial straight after you neck it) and see great results in the gym than have regular gains. Remember, convenional methods give conventional gains

Bad taste but don't kid yourself CEE's never really going to taste nice, you can mix it up with things to hide the taste but tbh I dont bother. Get an innocent smoothie and pour some in a small glass (an amount you can shot) pop the CEE on top and simply swig it in one, it'll be down and over before you can complain.\r\n\r\nGood product also, been on it for about 6 weeks and it's certainly giving me a more pumped look. Don't know whether its a placebo but i've also significantly upped the weights since being on it.\r\n\r\nAt this price, it's worth a try at least!

First of all when it comes to the price compared to other shops/online companies this Creatine CEE HCL is priced well. As for my own personal results from the product well I consumed it for a total of 5-6 months (1 teaspoon a day for 5 or 6 weeks with a weeks rest at the end of the 5th or 6th week then started the cycle again) and I noticed my strength slightly increased but didn’t get much of a energy boost like some others if I took it before training, as for size once again a slight increase. For me I was taking this product with whey protein during the 5-6 months so its hard to truly say where the gains mainly come from (but in theory most of my gains should have been from my protein shakes being one of the main elements for growth) as most of you will know Creatine (apart from energy boots for prolonged training) helps store higher levels of water for strength and size but during the later stages of the 5-6 month period of intake I found my body become too use to the Creatine and didn’t seem to absorb as much Creatine as they did during the first few months (and I know its common for the body to get use to a supplement after long usage but I thought following the guidelines my body would always welcome added Creatine during training like protein shakes which your body always happily welcomes) causing water retention in other parts of the body making me feel bloated at times (and no this was not fat because my diet never changed). Personally for ME the stuff is mostly good but not excellent and in future if I ever take this stuff again I will take it over smaller periods also having longer breaks in-between, be interesting to find out if any of you guys experienced your body failing to absorb as much Creatine over long periods of time even if you follow the guidelines? Has anyone tested this stuff on its own with only just a good natural high protein diet without any other supplements be interesting to see what these results are over a long period of time as this would be a more fair reflection on the stuff?

Ok, so this really really does taste bad, make no mistake you will regret having this with just water BUT orange juice, or any other citric fruit juice will mask the taste enough to make it bearable. \n\nResults seem to be better than the cheaper creatine, which didn't seem to make much of a difference. Might just be a coincidence with harder training and recently taking BCAA's as well, but my arms and legs are defo looking fuller, I guess that goes for everywhere else too, but I've got to lose some more weight to really see if has made a difference their too.\n\nI'd have given it 5 stars if I was 100% convinced, at the moment I'm just 95% convinced

firstly the taste, similar to battery acid, but it last for all of 5 seconds. i just chug it with water then wash down with another glass. its fine. also, after a couple of weeks you stop tasting it all together, doesn't bother me at all anymore.\nnow the main issue, there are a lot of reports that slate CEE, saying that the degredation to creatinine is too great for absorption of useful creatine levels. however, having skimmed two of these articles and become sceptical of CEE the results have spoken for themselves, being my first time on creatine i can't reference it to mono, but i can definitely tell the difference from not using it. \n\nso its up to you really, the taste shouldn't be an issue, man-up. the only real question is whether you buy into the idea of CEE or just want to stick with mono

Like all of the reviews say the taste is not the best, at first i couldn't handle it so the 500g tub was left on the shelf for months. I tried it again a few weeks ago and mixed it up like a shot with about 50ml of water then mix for a while. Neck it down and then follow it with a mouthful of another drink, i have pure orange to cover the taste. Has helped me get the last few reps out during a heavy session and lean tissue is increasing too without retaining water. Use to get stomach bloating and cramps with mono but doesn't happen with this because of the better absorbtion. it works out a lot cheaper then mono too because although price per serving works out the same the CEE lasts longer because you only take 3g a day wheras with mono you take 20g loading phase then 5g after that. would give it 5 but again the taste is bad

The point of Ethyl Ester (allegedly) is that it's a better delivery system than Monohydrate. Most Creatine monohydrate comes with a 'Consume with juice' direction, because the creatine latches onto the fructose in the juice as a delivery system to the blood cells. \n\nSo when you have a Creatine Ethyl Ester product, which doesn't need this, yet you end up mixing it with orange juice anyway because it tastes so vile - you're really defeating the object in the first place and you're better off just buying Creatine Monohydrate - same results, a third of the price.

Hello I have used creatine mono and after a week or so. You start to see strengh increases also energy levels go up more. Then after a few weeks you start to go firmer and harder also build up better lean tissue. The price is very good value at the moment. Also the taste is ok mixed with a drink juice of some kind. I have used creatine ethyl easter the taste is really bad and the smell is bad. Anther thing it dont allways mix the best ethyl compared to mono easy. Also you get the same gains using mono to ethyl no diffrence really. I rather use creatine mono due to the price and taste also value amount. The stuff really does work but has to be taken with carbs foods before work out's for best results using creatine. Anther thing to stop any pains in your stumuch you need to drink more water when using creatine water is needed at least 2 pints a day. I am rating ethyl 3 star due to bad taste, bad smell and mixing not the best. Creatine mono I rate 5 star due to being far better supplement.

Now as for the product itself..well hands down the best creatine I have used in yrs. Used the normal CM for yrs. Got good results but you had to load then reload every some many weeks. Add I would go through the stuff fast due to loading phases and the 10g per day. With this product theres no loading and only needs one small dose per day. Its taking effect within four days of use and Iam realy happy with the pump and boost in lifting strength. Price is the best out there, 1kg will last for a year and comming in under thirty pounds its so cost effective over the normal creatine. It may not work for everyone but one happy customer here.

For lean tissue building this product is actually insane, the gains in strength and appearance are very good and is visible after 4weeks (even less than 4 weeks but 4weeks is a safe bet!). I added 7.5Kg to Dumbell press in 4weeks. HOWEVER, if you do a lot of endurance stuff (e.g. running, rowing, cycling) it is a killer. My 5K running time has had 2minutes added to it, and not taking the creatine before hand wont help this, because the creatine is built in the stores in your body so your pretty much screwed. Hydration is paramount if your adament you want to continue the creatine whilst being an endurance trainer, however still not reccomended. \nFor short course goals (e.g. getting built for the summer) this supplement is a must with a hard cardio regime (no matter how much it knocks your time off you still need to do this as creatine will make you look fatter)\n

after taking maximuscle which is much more expensive i thought i might take my protein. The creatine tastes awful but that does not bother me as long as it gets results, unfortunatley it didn't and i have been goin to the gym 4 times a week consistantly. You get what you pay for! if it sounds to cheap then it is not likely to work.

This stuff is the best value that you will find, after 4 weeks of taking the recommended amount the 500g tub which i bought has hardly been used up at all. I have had strength gains and size gains (though not as much as I would have liked but i am a hard gainer.) Taste is FINE just stir well with about 250-300ml of orange juice or tropical -not apple! just tastes slightly sour, i've had no problems consuming this everyday.

I have taken Creatine MONO for a number of years and always had good results from it, normally putting on about 10Ibs in lean fib in the first 6 weeks and never really retained much water either around the gut. I decided to give CEE a go after reading many rave reviews about it. Ok, first thing , as we have all come to realise is the taste.. not great, but you can live with it. It is soluble however some may disagree. The best way to get it to mix is to add about a small amount of hot water into glass, mix it up then add orange cordial and cold water. Nice and easy. I took it for 6 weeks, twice a day 5 gms a serving pre and post workout but have to say i didn't really make much gain at all, perhaps 2Ibs . I think it comes down to personal preference and what supplements work for you. I am going back to MONO as this is what works really well . Its cheaper and doesn't taste as bad either . Give CEE a go and see what you think.

I use CEE during summer months when I'm not bulking, as you dont need the high bloody/sugar level for it to work, also i dont need the water retention that i get from monohydrate. Works very well, leaving me hard edge definition, only downside is it taste god awful, taste probably like the floor of a pharmaceutical lab, but hey.... I use to neck it with water, then swapped to a dash of pure concentrate squash, now bung it in a can of rockstar or relentless and can't taste it at all.

Never tried Creatine before so spent a week or so looking at the different types of Creatine out there and reading others reviews and tests. I settled on Creatine Ethyl Ester as liked not having to do a loading period and the suggestion of a good absorption rate.\n\nI have now been on it for two weeks, - I have chosen to take 4g instead of the recommended 3g and split it into two. One drink (2g) an hour before workout and 2g immediately after. On non workout or cardio days I take 4g in the morning. I chose this method because there are so many conflicting stories of when best to take it so thought id cover all angles.\n\nOk first thoughts were as many others have said it doesnt taste too good (still not great even with the Berry Blast Flavouring, but def worth adding it) but I would by no means say it was unbearable...Man up for those complaining about the taste! Good things usually taste bad huh!\n\nI did start to get headaches in the first couple of days but thought this may be down to not taking on board enough water as at the end of the day it is pushing it into your tissues, so I drank more water and no headaches since! I have found no bloating or any other side effects as of yet.\n\nAnyway the important bit is in this second week my strength has definately gone up, alot more and faster than any progression before. I could say some of it may be psycological help in the gym (because your pushing thinking the Creatine works) but I can truly say it has def played its part. I feel more pumped and my gf has noticed my arms/shoulders/chest have a harder look to them....Im looking fwd to seeing how it plays out for another 4 weeks before having a month off of it. \n\nHope you find my review useful and good luck if you decide on Creatine EE.\n\n

Hi, i bought some of this stuff a couple of weeks ago, i don't know if it has had time to fully take effect yet as i bought it along with my first lot of protein but i have definately increased in strength by approx 10kg in most area's after just a short time.\n\nEverybody talks about the taste but i dont understand why, its obviously disgusting but not so much that you cant take it. I just put it in a very small amount of water (enough to down in one) and just neck it, can hardly even taste it that way. The first way i did it was to put it in 300ml of water, it took me 30 mins to drink! Just put a tiny bit of water in a glass, mix, and drink!\n\nOne potential major problem i have come across is since i have started taking it, and the protein as i started at the same time, i have experienced heart palpitations! I have had these in the past but very, very rarely but the other night i had them all night and morning and it was starting to get frustrating! They have gone for now but if they come back like before i will obviously go to the doctor and see what he says. Ive searched the internet and apparently everone gets them and some things set them off more than others, does anybody (scientificly) know if the creatine or protein could have caused this or am i just being nervous and it is a coincidence?\n\n

I used to buy maximuscles Creatamax extreme, which added 30kgs to most my major lifts and lost it all when I came off it! That costs £40 a tub that lasts 7 days. Thats good if you can afford it.\n\nMy friend told me about CEE and I'd thought I'd give it a go. It took me about 2 weeks intially to notice anything and was giving up however after the 2 weeks I noticed it was giving me extra strength pretty much the same as the creatamax extreme as the weeks passed. And with such a little dose its great.\n\nIt helped me get my squat to 200kgs from 100 kgs in 3 months with gains every week. Also not as much water retention as you get with creatamax\n\nSummary: Just buy it you cant lose out really at myprotein.co.uk price. You WILL make gains unless your lazy at gym. Also have patience for it to work! Although everyone is different could take days, could take 2 weeks.\n\n

However it works amazingly well, great pump, extra reps and strength is improving.\n\nI have found a way to make it slightly more easy to drink:\n\nMix 3 grams with undiluted ribena or squash in a shot glass. You only need a small bit, but because of the amount of sugar concentrated in the syrup. The sugar masks the taste quite a bit and makes it more bareable. \n\nSlam it down and then follow with a chaser of squash or water.\n\nVoila!
